I'm a San Francisco-based artist working at the intersection of cinema, agriculture, and education. For me, film is not an end in and of itself, but rather an entry point. Ultimately, I hope to cultivate what a teacher would hope to cultivate in their students: curiosity, presence, and agency.
I’ve chosen to make all my work on film (35mm, 120mm, and 16mm), because analog tools require a slower, human pace; close attention to people and place; and an embrace of the beauty of imperfection.
In Berlin, I co-run House Shoes with Lanna Leite, a writer, translator and filmmaker from Brazil and New York.
